Midwestern Foods I Frequently Reconsider

These are especially things from my childhood and generally things I loved then.

• Grandma's vegetable casserole
• red, white, and blue jello casserole thing
• savory, creamy green jello sphere with celery and walnuts
• Squirt floats
• anything with condensed cream of mushroom soup
• canned creamed corn (my childhood nemesis)
• anything with crumbled melba toast on top
• iceburg lettuce
• bean salad
• lentil spread with the midwestern addition of a hard boiled egg
• mini gouda disks in the red wax (which is also delicious)
• confetti cornbread
